Whether you have been to one of my art openings, purchased my work or just liked a piece of art work I

have posted on Facebook, it has all been a tremendous help in my mental or financial well-being so that

I have been able to continue making art.

Recently, I gained a very exciting opportunity. Chashama, NYC's largest studio program, accepted me into

their studio space in the Brooklyn Army Terminal. It is a huge chance for me to take my career to the

next level. There are well visited open studio days, which attract gallery owners, curators and patrons of

the arts to see what is happening in this bustling artistic community. There are also many other

amenities for me to utilize and grow as an artist.

Fractured Atlas has agreed to be the fiscal sponsor for fund raising for my new studio in Chashama.

Fiscal sponsorship allows patrons of my art to make contributions towards my artistic

efforts through this non-profit organization and have those contributions be tax deductible!

I am calling this project, "New Studio, New Paintings". My new studio is over 300 square feet. It is enough

room for me to make the really big paintings I have wanted to make for years. For a very long time I

have been working out of my home. I have been able to make paintings up to 2 or 3 feet in length. Now I

will make paintings 6 or 7 feet in length! I can do life size subway paintings! I want to make paintings

that will address equality, justice and cultural diversity. It is very exciting. But it will be hard to sustain. It

is a great value for the space, but it is still an extra expense, on top of materials.

"New Studio, New Paintings" is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service

organization. Contributions for the charitable purposes of "New Studio, New Paintings" must be made

payable to Fractured Atlas only. For every contribution I have "thank you gifts" outlined on my profile page.

They include you choosing any piece of art work from my website to be made into a 8 by 10 inch print, among other gifts

involving my art. This is a great chance to help me make new art work, and also to obtain some of my art work, all

tax deductible!

If you choose to contribute to me without a thank you gift, the entire

donation will be tax deductible. There is a very easy payment option on the website to facilitate your

contribution. I will be posting every contributor as a patron of mine on my website. So please indicate if

you would like to be anonymous.
